Media

I love lists, I love movies, I love books…Here is a page of 3 of my favorite things.

Movies

I used to get to GO to the movies often. Not so much anymore. Therefore, my already large movie collection grows larger. And my hold queue at the library grows as new movies get released.
So here is my list, some I own and have never watched and some I see trailers for and want to see.

Once I've seen the movie, I'll mark it as watched with the date and a short - very short - 'review'. If you stop by and based on my list have a recommendation, please leave me a comment so I can watch the trailer and add it to the list.

A Very Long Engagement

B
Brooklyn — 6/27/16 LOVED IT: See it, it started kinda slow/almost painful (which is exactly how I'd imagine moving to a new country) but such a wonderful story. I actually think I'm going to write a blog about it.

C
Captive

D
The Danish Girl—07/21/16 I started watching this movie…but it was SOOOOOOOO slow I just couldn't
The Duff

E
The End of the Tour

Hello, My name is Doris
He Called Me Malala
How to be Single 8/06/16 So funny. I can't say I'm a Dakota Johnson fan (I am not, I think she's a lackluster actress) but the rest of the cast was good and it was a funny story and there were a lot of laugh out loud moments.

L
Last Vegas
Lions for Lambs

M
Me Before You
Mistress America — 6/28/16 Really an interesting movie. Two almost sisters, who couldn't outwardly be more different but below the surface they are the same…dealing with insecurities in different ways. Worth a second watch.
Me and Earl and the Dying GirlThe Monuments Men—8/5/16 I've been watching a lot of Raiders of the Lost Art (and The Lady in Gold again) which got me thinking about these men and how they 'saved' art. It was a good story and quite funny for a serious subject. I enjoyed it. Not something I'd watch again, but am glad to have seen it and gotten a fictional look at these men.

N
Norma Rae
The Note

P
PridePaper Towns

Q

R
Race
Ricki and the Flash — 6/26/16 It took place in Indianapolis (it didn't look like Indy, but…). There was too much singing by Meryl Streep. It was kinda weird.
Room

S
Slumdog Millionaire
Steve Jobs
Straight Outta Compton
Stuck on You
Suffragette — 6/20/16 SO SLOW, I couldn't even finish it.

T
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
Trumbo — 6/22/16 Bryan Cranston was awesome, a great movie and learned a lot about the Hollywood 10.
Trainwreck — 6/23/16 Amy Schumer is funny…but this is her as she is in every interview I've ever seen her in-kinda neurotic and self deprecating.
Tumbledown

U

V
Vacation — 6/24/16 Just don't: it doesn't stand along. Just watch the original.

Books

I love the smell of books. I love owning books and thinking that I am going to read them. Yes, I said thinking that I will read them, but somehow I rarely do.
